Since its debut in October, the show has been the top-rated Sunday night program among women 18 to 34.

On Nov. 4, it averaged a 1.06 Nielsen Media Research rating among adults and a 1.7 among women 18-34.

The series, produced by Ryan Seacrest Productions and Bunim-Murray Productions, takes viewers behind the scenes with celebutante Kim Kardashian and her outrageous Hollywood family and friends.

“The buzz surrounding the series is huge, and viewers have clearly fallen for the Kardashians,” said Lisa Berger, executive VP, original programming and series development, E!.

“Seacrest and Bunim-Murray’s unique ability to capture this family’s one-of-a-kind dynamics and hilarious antics has made the series a fantastic addition to our prime-time lineup,” she added. “We’re delighted to announce a second season.”

“Any publication that would print these pictures, which are considered child pornography, will be subject to the same criminal investigation as the agency who is attempting to sell them.”

In all fairness, it’s pretty hard for Kim Kardashian to keep her clothes on. Every time she gets dressed, they just fly off. You practically have to super glue those things on. I think it has to do with the gravitational pull her ass produces the closer it comes in contact with a penis and a camera. I have the theory and a partially completed proof right here in this science journal. Don’t mind the glitter and unicorn stickers. They’re just there to give it some pizazz.

Vivid Entertainment, who originally coughed up $1 million to an unidentified source for the video, will now hand over nearly $5 million to Kardashian and stop distribution of the homemade sex tape by the end of the month.

Kardashian, one of the many former BFF’s of Paris Hilton, initiated the suit against the porn distributor in February, claiming the firm’s intention to distribute the video violated her “right to privacy”.

Vivid Entertainment’s co-chairman told TMZ, “We are pleased that Kim has dropped her legal action against us, we met with her several times and finally reached a financial arrangement that we both feel is fair.”

Readily willing to pay that kind of cash, it just goes to show how lucrative a tape of this nature can be for Vivid. Just imagine if the subject was actually famous!
